1. Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:28) – Peace Through Remembrance

Arabic:

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Transliteration:

Alladhīna āmanū wa taṭma’innu qulūbuhum bi dhikri Allāh. Alā bi dhikri Allāhi taṭma’innu al-qulūb.

“Those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”

2. Surah Ash-Sharh (94:5–6) – Ease After Hardship

Arabic:

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا ۝ إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

Transliteration:

Fa-inna ma‘a al-‘usri yusrā * Inna ma‘a al-‘usri yusrā.

Translation:

“Indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”

3. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286) – Allah Does Not Burden Beyond Capacity

Lā yukallifullāhu nafsan illā wus‘ahā...

1. Dua for Relief from Anxiety and Distress

Arabic:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

Transliteration:

Allāhumma innī a‘ūdhu bika minal-hammi wal-ḥazan wal-‘ajzi wal-kasal wal-bukhl wal-jubn wa ḍala‘id-dayn wa ghalabatir-rijāl.

Translation:

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety, sorrow, helplessness, laziness, miserliness, cowardice, heavy debt, and being overpowered by others.”

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ

Transliteration:

“O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessings, the change of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all Your displeasure.”

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

How to Find Mental Peace in Islam

  • Establish the five daily prayers consistently.
  • Increase dhikr (remembrance of Allah), such as SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar.
  • Recite the Quran regularly, especially verses of hope and mercy.
  • Make du’a during sujood and the last part of the night.
  • Perform wudu and pray two rak‘at when feeling anxious.
  • Practice patience and trust in Allah’s decree (tawakkul).
  • Stay connected with righteous company and avoid harmful thoughts and environments.

True peace does not come only from removing problems, but from Allah placing tranquility in the heart despite problems. Real comfort is a gift from Allah alone.
